Negligence With Gum Infection Can Lead To Tooth Loss
Ever since a kid, we were made aware of the benefits of proper oral care. Dentists often remind us to take care of out teeth and gums by brushing and flossing them regularly to prevent gum infections caused by bacteria. Gum infection can deliver disastrous damage to our oral health and even to our overall condition. The worse that can happen when gum infection attack is the eventual loss of tooth and its spreading to the other parts of the body resulting to the occurrence of certain medical conditions commonly cardiovascular and respiratory diseases.
Plaque is primarily the cause of gum infection. Excessive bacteria forms into plaque, while plaque produces toxins and acids that causes irritation resulting to infections and inflammation of gums.
To avoid gum infection, plaque should be eliminated and it can only be achieve through proper oral hygiene, avoiding bad habits such as smoking and drinking which are the major contributors of gum disease and regular dental check ups should be observe.
